The CCA Girls Volleyball team proudly continues its tradition of raising awareness for breast cancer with a special game today against Rancho Buena Vista High School. This annual event aims to shine a light on the impact of breast cancer, a disease that affects one in eight women and is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths among women in the U.S.
The game kicks off at CCA, and we encourage all students, staff, and community members to wear pink to show their support for this important cause. Together, we can create a sea of pink in the stands, highlighting our collective commitment to fighting breast cancer.
This year, the team is raising funds for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), which is renowned for its dedication to finding a cure. Since its founding, BCRF has raised over a billion dollars, making significant contributions to research aimed at ending breast cancer.
Fans can support the cause by donating through the CCA volleyball fundraising page, linked below. The team aims to raise at least $2,000 before the game. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to making a difference.
In addition to donations, players and their families are invited to join the fundraising team. By selecting the "join team" option on the fundraising page, participants can create personal pages to solicit donations from friends and family. These individual efforts will count towards the overall team total, fostering a spirit of teamwork and community involvement.
Let’s rally together to support breast cancer research and honor those affected by this disease. We hope to see you at the game, cheering on our athletes and contributing to a cause that touches so many lives.
Join us in making a difference!
